Question 1

Do Cornish Rex cats need clothes?

Accepted Answer

Cornish Rex cats have a single-layer wavy coat with no guard hairs or awn hairs — just a fine, short undercoat. This provides very little insulation, and their long, slender body loses heat quickly. Clothing is genuinely helpful for Cornish Rex cats, especially in air-conditioned homes or during cooler months.

Question 2

What clothing works best for Cornish Rex cats?

Accepted Answer

Cornish Rex cats have a long, slender body with a tucked-up waist and arched back. Look for garments with a longer back length and a slim, stretchy fit. A fitted sweater or onesie works well for everyday warmth. Avoid anything too structured or padded — Cornish Rex cats move quickly and need full range of motion.

Question 3

How do I measure a Cornish Rex for clothes?

Accepted Answer

Measure chest girth (around the widest part of the chest), neck girth (around the base of the neck), and back length (from the base of the neck to the base of the tail). Cornish Rex cats tend to have a longer back length relative to their chest size. Our sizing guide covers breed-specific proportions and includes a calculator.

Question 4

What is the difference between Cornish Rex and Devon Rex?

Accepted Answer

Both breeds have wavy coats and feel the cold, but they're genetically distinct. Devon Rex cats are typically smaller and rounder, with a broader head and larger ears. Cornish Rex cats are longer and more slender, with a more arched back and a narrower head. Their clothing needs are similar, but sizing differs — Cornish Rex cats often need a longer back length.

Question 5

Do you ship Cornish Rex cat clothes to all of Australia?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We ship Australia-wide, including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and regional areas. Free shipping on orders over $99.
